The project was a major renovation of the main floor of the CRD Headquarters building in down town Victoria. The original building was constructed in two phases and as such the mechanical systems on either side of the main floor were different. The original phase 1 side utilizes an in-floor hydronic fan coil re-heat system to provide space tempering. Equipment was adjusted and added as necessary to accommodate the updated floorplan. The original phase 2 side was originally CRU space but was converted into offices. The HVAC system consists of a high efficiency HRV for fresh air and utilizes an energy recovery VRF system for heating and cooling. Minor plumbing re-works were included in the scope and m3 provided detailed sprinkler design for the renovation.
